Behind this webshop are the couple Hilmar Hansson and Oddný Magnadóttir. Both are Icelandic fly fishers with years of experience of fishing and fly tying all over the world.
Now we have opened the website fishingflies.is in cooperation with Shadowflies, a company operated by the great fly tier, guide and fly fisherman Jón Ingi Ágústsson. Shadowflies is owned by Gordon Sim and Justin Maxwell.
Jón Ingi Ágústsson is well known in Iceland and abroad for his beautiful fly patterns. He is the author of the bestselling flybook, The Fishing Flies of Iceland which has become a Bible of flytyers in Iceland.
You can order Ágústsson’s famous flies directly from us. The patterns are beautifully tied, longlasting and of the kind professional fly fishermen use for maximum fishing results. For the past few years these have been the bestselling flies in Iceland.
